Wild Card: Instructions and Gameplay Guide

Welcome to Wild Card, a top-down rogue-lite shooter inspired by games like Vampire Survivors and themed around the vibrant world of Deltarune!

Getting Started

• Game Launch: The game starts immediately upon launch. PLEASE PLAY IN FULLSCREEN. If the game is too zoomed in, PLEASE ZOOM OUT OF YOUR BROWSER.
• Tutorial: Go through the tutorial if you are unsure about the game mechanics.
• Login: You can make an account to save your game data and participate in the leaderboards.
• Settings: Click the Boombox on the top right to access the game settings.
• Credits: Click on Toriel on the bottom right to see the credits.
• Shop: Click on the Shop Icon to access the game shop. You can unlock a secret character here by opening the door. You can also gamble your souls for a chance to earn more!

Controls

• Movement: Use WASD or arrow keys to move your character.
• Pause: Use Esc or P keys to pause the game. This will also show you your real-time in-game stats!

Gameplay Features

• Infinite Terrain: The terrain is procedurally generated, allowing you to walk in any direction indefinitely.
• Weapons: Each character has a unique weapon, choose a playstyle you are comfortable with!
• Enemies: Enemies spawn automatically around you and will persistently move towards you. Eliminate them and they will drop different items (Souls, EXP, Chests etc).
• Elites and Bosses: At certain timings, elite versions of enemies will appear, defeat them to earn great rewards. Bosses will spawn near the end of your run, hopefully you are prepared by then!
• Leveling Up: Collecting EXP allows you to level up. Players get to obtain a new weapon/item or upgrade an existing one everytime they level up.
• Game Over: You will be able to see the results of your run. Go ahead and play again!

Challenge

• Time Survived: How long can you survive against the oncoming hordes?
  
• Level Reached: What will be your highest level?
• High Score: Can you beat your friends on the Leaderboard?
• Enemies Defeated: Show your dedication to the game!
